The London borough of Barnet is in North London. It is the second-largest borough of London and the fourth-largest by area.
The London borough of Barnet was created in 1965 from the parts of counties in Middlesex and Hertfordshire. Most of Barnet falls under London’s green belt, and hence, it has a large number of parks open spaces.
You will be surprised to know that this single borough is the home of eight local nature reserves. Furthermore, it is jointly responsible with Brent to look after the Welsh Harp reservoir – a place of special scientific interest.
